Inspired by attic treasures, artist Lib Cummings-Mead lends her warm
and engaging spirit to Larkspur Lane. In this new holiday Larkspur
Lane Collection, a healthy dose of whimsy has been added to the magical
offerings with even more intricate design details. Bearly Right invites
us to meet the citizens of Glitterdale at their holiday party on
Larkspur Lane. Everything in the neighborhood has been dusted with
a layer of glittering now to show off the new residents and old favorites.
"At the end of a winding lane site a rather queer little cottage.
A little too tall and lopsided, it stands proudly touting
its costume of river rock, stucco and moss with a crown
of three and one half chimneys. The cottage seems to be
hiding among the trees, but if you are lucky enough to catch
a glimpse, you can almost see it smiling back as if to
welcome you in. Even the numbers on the front, above the
crooked door, are always changing in their desire
to amount to something.
Being of a curious nature, I took my sister to explore
this house on Larkspur Lane after I heard a high-pitched
giggle escape its wooden front gate. While stooping down
to peer inside the rusted keyhole, the gate slowly opened...
almost as if to invite us in. Only children seem to be able to
see the inhabitants of Larkspur Lane and truly experience
the powerful magic it possesses..."
